Sculptor

As an artist, creating figure art is one of the things that I enjoy. Throughout the years, my pieces have changed. Sometimes in my life, they may be more joyful, at other times darker, but my love for figure art has been consistent. My name is Anghel Bucur, Sculptor, and sculpture is my passion. A passion that I would love to share with you.

My love for art began in Romania when I was a child. I know that I had to get away in order to let my art blossom, so I headed to Italy. The journey was not easy, it required a couple of weeks locked in a box. I had to stay hidden or my journey would quickly come to an end. I have traveled around quite a bit. No matter where I went, my sculpture supplies and dedication to the art came with me. I now reside in Mulmur, ON, Canada, where I show my pieces whenever I can. Some people may feel that art is an extravagance, a luxury that we don't need. I would beg to differ with these people. Art gives us happiness, it makes us feel good to look at a thing of beauty that we love. It is a way to escape the sometimes frightening and ugly world that we live in. I feel the world would be a much sadder place without it.
